About Conquest 2023Conquest is BITS Pilani’s flagship startup accelerator program, conceptualized and executed entirely by a team of 25 students from Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (CEL), the e-cell of BITS Pilani, Pilani campus. The program structure is purpose-built for obtaining a quantified delta in each startup’s journey across two stages - ignition (6-week online phase) and inflection (1-week offline phase) through which we open relevant networks, deliver critical product and business insights, and help refine the startup pitch. The seven-week journey culminates in the Demo Dayin Bangalore. Conquest 2023 was Title Sponsored by WestBridge Capital, with WEH Ventures, WeWork Labs, Introbot and Qapita coming in as sponsors and high-impact partners. Conquest also featured 30+ corporate partners like AWS, Notion, HubSpot, Stripe among others, and 30+ investment partners such as Nexus Venture Partners, Elevation Capital, Titan Capital, BEENEXT, 3one4 Capital etc.Ignition PhaseThe ignition phase kicked off with a cohort of 22 startups selected through a rigorous evaluation process from a pool of 2200+ applicants. After spending the first week in need assessment and goal assessment, the team worked closely with a network of 100+ mentors and domain expertsThe startup report at the end of the Ignition phase comprehensively summarizes the insights generated from mentors’ feedback and compares the pitch scores across the weeks shared by evaluation partners.Inflection PhaseThe Inflection phase takes place offline in Bangalore, flying in the 12 shortlisted startups from the Ignition cohort, sharing co-living and co-working spaces for a week. The week features ample networking opportunities with prominent investors, founders, and operators through office visits, offline sessions, workshops, and mixer events that Conquest organizes.Demo DayThe Demo Day, or Conquest’s Grand Finale, was held on Sunday, 13th August 2023, at The LaLiT Ashok Bangalore. The Demo Day was a Shark Tank-styled pitching competition to a Jury of 20+ prolific investors such as Sameer Brij Verma (Managing Director, Nexus Venture Partners), Pranav Pai (Founding Partner, 3one4 Capital), Bipin Shah (Partner, Titan Capital) among others, with equity-free grants for the top 2 startups from Conquest’s Cohort of 2023.The Demo Day also featured panel discussions featuring top founders such as Sanjay Dasari (Co-founder, WayCool Foods), Virender Bisht (Co-founder, Niyo Solutions), Angad Kikla (Co-founder, CityMall) among others. With 12 startups pitching, and very intense competition, the Demo Day, the equity-free grants were awarded to the following startups:● Winner: Glovatrix, founded by Aishwarya Karnataki and Pariksh*t Sohoni.
